Xia Li erhält ein FWF Lise Meitner Stipenium für “SFG Spektroskopie an Pd/GR Modellkatalysatoren”

Xia Li receives FWF Lise Meitner Fellowship for “SFG Spectroscopy of Pd/GR Model Catalysts”

Dr. Xia Li receives an FWF Lise Meitner Fellowship for her proposal “SFG Spectroscopy of Pd/GR Model Catalysts”. In her project, Xia examines palladium (Pd) nanoparticles grown on a thin graphene (GR) film on an iridium single-crystal substrate. Model catalysts are prepared and characterized in a custom-built ultra-high vacuum (UHV) chamber, which is connected to a high pressure cell for surface-specific sum frequency generation (SFG) vibrational spectroscopy. The adsorption and reaction properties of the model catalysts will be studied via CO adsorption and oxidation. Xia´s project is hosted by Prof. Rupprechter and builds on previous work within the FWF SFB FOXSI and the TU Innovative Project "VSFG".
